About The Banningham Crown Inn

The Banningham Crown is a traditional 17th century timbered inn located in the quiet village of Banningham opposite the historic 14th century church and village green. The building originally housed an inn with cart lodge and stables, a shop and separate cottage and was converted to its current form in the 1980's.

Run by the same family since 1991 the pub provides a traditional country pub atmosphere with the emphasis on good quality food, friendly staff and excellent customer service. Log fires and wood burners warm the pub during the Winter months and the sheltered patio and gardens provide a great place for dining al fresco during the Summer. Food is served 7 days per week at lunchtimes and evenings and is produced in house by Chefs using seasonal and local produce. This is complimented by great value wines from around the world and Real Ales.

We also provide a separate room for private functions and meetings, free Wi-Fi connection, heated covered smoking area, disabled access and large car park. Major credit cards accepted.

MENU SELECTION

In addition to our A La Carte Menu we also offer a changing selection of Roasts, Fresh Fish and Game on our Blackboard Menus. Our ever-popular Steak & Kidney Puddings remain on the menu as do our home-made Pavlovas with fresh fruit.

Daily Lunch Specials are priced at £5.95 and are changed on a daily basis. We also offer Light Lunches and Bar Snacks and a Childrens Menu. Our two Course Sunday Roasts are £8.95 and offer a choice of 3 Meats and 3 desserts with waitress service.

LEISURE ACTIVITIES

As well as a great place to come for food and drink this area provides a great place to come for walking and cycling. Located close to both the Weavers Way and the Bure Valley walks are plentiful. Our staff have details of several walks ranging from 5 to 8 miles within the Banningham and Colby areas. Why not leave your car in the car park and return for Lunch. Many cycling groups call in for a pint and lunch when cycling the quiet country lanes. Fishing is available at Mill Farm Lakes located less than a mile away. Entertainment

Traditional Jazz Bands play at The Banningham Crown on some Sundays during the Winter and an annual Jazz Festival is held in the garden during August every year. Quiz nights are held on the last Tuesday of every month during the Winter with proceeds to the Air Ambulance. Special events such as Burns Night and Fish & Wine Tasting suppers also prove very popular. Traditional Morris Dancing takes place in June and on Boxing Day every year.
