About The George Hotel Cley - B&B Accommodation

There are 10 Bedrooms over 2 Floors.

All the bedrooms have been refurbished with new bathrooms installed. On the first floor rooms 3, 4 and 5 are particularly spacious with wonderful views over the marshes towards Blakeney Point. Room 9 on the second floor has plenty of character and a great view.

The Cley Suite is our most recent refurbishment and consists of sitting room (with sofa bed) a double bedroom and en-suite bath/shower room.

Our prices are room only. Breakfast is charged seperately. We would ask that you inform us, when making a booking, of any dietary requirements so that we can make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Please note bookings including a Saturday must be a minimum of 2 consecutive nights (Friday and Saturday, OR Saturday and Sunday), and during School and bank holidays the High Season rate is applicable.

Room amenities include en-suite bathrooms, large beds and hospitality trays for that all-important first brew of the day. Comfortable furnishings and soft lighting all invite you to relax.

Here, tranquility is on the doorstep, thanks to the huge skies, acres of colourful salt-marsh and mile-upon-mile of un-spoilt beaches that are also a haven for wildlife.

Here at Cley-next-the-Sea, with it’s narrow roads, no streetlights and a traditional red phone-box, you will find a beautiful, idyllic, north Norfolk brick and flint village that is bursting with character and filled with local culture. No wonder so many people are enchanted by this stretch of coastline.

All food from our restaurant is local fresh produce and is served all day, with homemade daily specials.

Dogs are welcome in the bar and front restaurant, we have a great kiddies menu and on the cold Autumn/ winter days we have a roaring open fire going to warm up the cockles of your heart.

Cley Marshes is Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s oldest and best known nature reserve. It was purchased in 1926 making it the first Wildlife Trust reserve in the country.

The shingle beach and saline lagoons, along with the grazing marsh and reedbed support large numbers of wintering and migrating wildfowl and waders, as well as bittern, marsh harriers and bearded tit.

Seven of our thirteen rooms look directly onto the Cley Marshes and are perfect for a spot of pre-breakfast bird watching.
