Established over 50 years ago, Platten’s Fish & Chips Ltd is a third generation family run business serving you the very best traditional seaside fish and chips for you to enjoy eating in or to take away, fresh from the fryer in only a few minutes.With a wide variety of delicious products to tempt your taste buds why not look at our MENU or come in and see for yourself as we truly are one of the finest places to eat in Wells.

As we know keeping tropical fish is a passionate hobby of Phil Platten’s, so he also installed two 8 feet Aquariums filled with an array of tropical fish for everybody to enjoy…………. the kids especially love them!!!

With our 82 seated restaurant we also welcome bigger parties of people such as; Bus companies, mystery tours, camping groups, elderly outing parties, school trips or birthday parties and if you’re anything like Phil who loves tropical fish, you can enjoy the delights of the fish tanks situated around the seating area.

All of our fish is FAS accredited and caught from sustainable waters, including that of the newly MSC certified Barents Sea located just North of Norway and Russia.

We are very proud of what we achieve here and strive for the very best out of our food and staff, bringing traditional fish and chips in to the 21st century but most of all would like to thank all of our customers, both old and new, for their continued support over the past 50 years and look forward to serving you soon.
