A splendid Grade II listed Victorian Pier, awarded Pier of The Year by The National Pier Society and enjoyed by generations of visitors. Originally opened for entertainment in the 1890’s as an open air bandstand the theatre was enclosed in 1905 forming the beginnings of the theatre we know and love. The Pier has become a prime filming location, recently featuring in The Barbara Windsor drama filmed by the BBC.


The famous 510 seat Theatre is perched on the end of the pier is the home of the famous Cromer Pier Show celebrating its Ruby anniversary this summer, now the only end of pier show of its kind in the World! The Cromer Pier Christmas Show is getting bigger and bigger every year, strengthening Norfolk’s festive offering.


The Theatre also attracts the very best quality visiting shows throughout the year with over 50 first class productions including live music, comedy, children’s musical theatre, cabaret and burlesque, the cream of the country’s tribute bands and an audience with…

The Pier is very proud to host the annual Folk On The Pier festival every May, attracting Folk fans and visitors from all over the UK. The pier is an important part of the community and is a valuable resource as a hub for community events and charity fund raisers.


The Pavilion Bar is a unique venue, whatever the weather it's the perfect place to take a relaxing break, meet with friends, sit back and enjoy the stunning views of the coastline and the town. If you are lucky you may even get to see one of those magnificent sunsets that everyone talks about, they really are spectacular. On one of those 'wild weather' days, watch from your unique vantage point as the waves roll in towards the shore and sip a steaming cup of hot chocolate, it’s just priceless. If you are lucky enough to have tickets to the show, help us to give you the best possible service and pre-order your interval drinks, leaving you free to enjoy the whole interval.

Tides Restaurant can be found at the land end of the Pier with a delicious menu and fantastic views inside or outside on the quarterdeck.

The Gift Shop and Box Office at the entrance to the Pier is now combined so that you can look at all the great shows we have during the year and browse in our bijou but perfectly stocked gift shop at the same time. Packed with quality gifts, beach goods and souvenirs you can take a little piece of Cromer home with you.
