About Royal Cromer Golf Club
Designed originally by Tom Morris with later improvements made by J H Taylor and James Braid, the current Frank Pennick design has been constructed out of hummocky, sandy hills covered with gorse and bracken and seamed with grassy valleys, it is a tidy caringly kept Golf Course and a model of what good greenkeeping ought to be.
The Club was granted its Royal patronage by HRH Edward Prince of Wales on Christmas Day 1887, the formal opening taking place on 2nd January 1888.
In the past it has been visited by the likes of Peter Allis, Tony Jacklin and more recently Nick Price. Societies are more than welcome (please ring or E-mail first) and our catering/bar staff will be more than happy to provide you with some excellent fare.
Whether you play on a calm, peaceful summer day, or during the cold winter months, Royal Cromer offers a challenge to players of all abilities. Regarded as one of Norfolk's finest it is renowned for its friendly atmosphere and we hope that all visitors will heed our sincere invitation to make themselves at home.
